Message From Shadow, New Custom Merch Drop

Allow me to extend a mid-Summer greeting! Hope you’ve all been enjoying the warm weather (apologies to our friends in the southern hemisphere) and longer days. The recent European tour was wonderful, I thoroughly enjoyed being able to perform again. Highlights for me include Primavera Festival, the France dates, and Scandinavia. Since returning, I’ve been busying myself with various tasks and working on music when inspiration strikes. No new album news to report, but you’ll be the first to know. In the meantime, we have a few new products in the shop that we’re excited about and wanted to alert you to. They include:

New DJ Shadow Windbreaker and Backpack

I love the website “DJ Shadow” logo and minimalist design aesthetic, so I wanted to use them as the basis for a mini range of matching products. It’s been years since we’ve done a windbreaker, and have NEVER done a backpack, so we’re pleased to offer these exclusive custom garments. You can check them out here. We think you’ll agree they’re top-notch!

DJ Shadow/Stance Collab Tee Available

In addition, we recently unveiled an awesome collab tee with our friends at Stance. They knocked out a version of my logo incorporating all my album art in chronological order, which I thought was a great concept. It was my idea to leave the ‘W’ blank, to suggest the possibilities of music still to come. Check it out here!

First DJ Shadow US Show in Over 5 Years Coming to San Francisco

It’s hard to believe, but my only US show in 2022 is also my first show ANYWHERE in America since 2017. How could this happen? Well, I toured hard in 2016 and 2017, and it was always in the plan to halt touring while I worked on the ‘Our Pathetic Age’ album. So, no shows in 2018 or 2019. Then, as most of you know, I built a brand-new show for 2020 and was only able to perform a handful of gigs in Europe before COVID pulled the plug. The US portion of the tour hadn’t gone on sale yet, so there were no “make up” shows to play, and the touring landscape became so crowded that I decided just to wait for things to calm down. Hopefully, I’ll be able to play more cities in 2023 and 2024, but for now…this is it!

Stay safe and thanks for your support,
